Been busy these few days, infact seldom going to be free anytime sooner. So, without further ado, this is the belated post for the day I turned eighteen.

MONDAY, 7th DECEMBER '09
@ Production Design class

The topic of the day was to design costumes using paper instead of fabrics. It isn't at all easy because we do have to make the most accurate measurements and ensure there's texture, patterns and yes, most importantly, that it would fit the character and be worn comfortably. Presenting, the costume designers for the day (:









And trust me, when I say Production Design classes has always been this messy.

After a really productive 3 long hours, the people on costumes had to parade around the canteen to see the durability.

I've got to admit, even though the day was super stressful and amidst all the rush, we did have fun. Haha.

Next week, makeup! I'm doomed. So after class ended, Mas was busy on the phone while Katini and Atiqah took forever in the toilet. I knew something was up. Come on, we have been doing birthdays together for quite some time already! Then I went toilet. When I came back to class, one of my classmates went "1,2, 3!" And yes, the class sang a birthday song (:

Somehow I cannot get the "1, 2, 3!" part out of my head. Haha. The moment I step out of class, there they were. Afiq, Hani, Shantini, Noor, James. Happy Birthday song, yet again (: I think the song should win the Most Popular Song Choice award already. And they gave me a gift wrapped in bright red which totally matches my headscarf. Hah. Thank you guys :D And then we went out and took some pictures, opened the gift.



Humongous bag which is sure to be useful for action-packed modules like Production Design and EOF. And a super ultra cute laptop bag! Aww, and look, CARE BEAR! I love carebears <3



Then came the point of time Atiqah went, "Sakinah! Take off your specs a while. I want take your picture without specs." I was so against the idea, of course, because I think I look super weird without specs. I refused and refused but gave in after a while. The moment I take off my specs, Afiq quickly blindfolded me. WOW. Great planning, guys. I totally believed you, Atiqah.



Then my kidnapping experience began. I am pretty sure there are lots of people looking though they all said there was nobody. Come on, it's public places you guys are bringing me. Yes! I was apparently brought out of school and to the bus stop. BUS STOP. People sit there, wait for buses, and yes, people in the buses do look out of the windows. And there I was, blindfolded and hanging my head low most of the time. I bet they think there's something awkwardly wrong with my eyes. I was brought up onto the bus where there's commuters. I repeat, commuters, on the bus. Though I cannot see a thing, it's still embarrasing!! I can hear. I was in total darkness for maybe around 45 minutes or so.

This was actually the second surprise (:


Because I am 18. Haha. Right here, I ws treated to dinner. How awesome.

Mas wanted me to open Dawn's present so much because she was so excited to see the content. So there I was. It looked like a portfolio case. But stay tuned to find out more. (What the hell.)




I totally had an awesome time with my lovely people. Thank you again for the surpises, gifts, and treat. I enjoyed my day and trust me, my 18th is going to be really memorable. Back at home, got treated by brother to dinner again and had a really yummy birthday cake. I love blowing candles and redoing it again and again.



Remember the portfolio case I said was Dawn's gift? Well, IT WASN'T. It was a freaking colour palette! Markers, crayons, paint, pencils. WWWWHAAAAAAAAATTTT.



It's so ultra gorgeous, I can't stop smiling at the colours. And yeaaah, I love Dawn's cards. They have always been so pretty (:
